Synopsis

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens is a timeless novella that tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and cold-hearted old man. Set in Victorian London, the narrative unfolds on Christmas Eve when Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley. Marley, doomed to an eternity of suffering because of his greed, warns Scrooge to change his ways and foretells the arrival of three spirits.

Throughout the night, the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come guide Scrooge on a transformative journey. The Ghost of Christmas Past reveals the joy and heartbreak of his earlier life, while the Ghost of Christmas Present shows him scenes of warmth, family gatherings, and the struggles of those less fortunate, including his humble clerk Bob Cratchit and Cratchit’s ailing son, Tiny Tim. Finally, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come presents a grim future if Scrooge does not change.

Awakening on Christmas morning with newfound compassion and a joyful heart, Scrooge transforms into a generous and kind-hearted man, embodying the true spirit of Christmas and impacting the lives of those around him positively.
